Blown-in Insulation for Express Oil Change

Call:

Builder called to get quote on new construction insulation project in Spring, Texas. This was a 3600 square foot Express Oil Change building.  Discussed with builder best time to come give estimate.

Solution:

Arrived at site and assessed the situation. Gave quote for an R-38 of L-77 insulation (Blown In) as well as full weatherization in the attic area over offices and work stations.

Quote was accepted and work was performed. After completing the project, The Insulation Guru is now a regular bidder for future projects.

Benefits:

Having the insulation overhead in the attic area helped keep the cool in the areas below as well as keeping the heat transfer from entering the conditioned area.  Added weatherization in the attic (Foaming in penetrations that were found that lead to conditioned space below) helped seal off the area and promote a healthier environment.

Blencor Mega Freezer Facility

Call:

Construction and installation of ceiling (and ceiling bracing system) with cold storage panels for state of the art, 150,000 square foot, Blencor mega freezer facility; a staple of the Sealy community.

Solution:

The Insulation Guru called an 18 man crew and worked through holidays to meet the demands of this first ever cold storage facility. The project extended over ten months and is the only storage facility of its kind in the United States and is considered to be cutting edge.

The Insulation Guru and crew installed hundreds of 42’ (plus) cold storage panels as well as the ceilings and ceiling bracing systems above. The facility also required housing multiple freezers, blast freezers and storage rooms.

Benefits:

The grand opening of the Blencor facility went through on time and without a hitch. The Insulation Guru is proud to have been a part of this great project and according to the testimonial (see below) from Shane Samples, Executive Vice President of Operations, it appears the customer was also very satisfied.

We would like to take the time to thank you for the final work completed at Blencor. It appears the last wall was finished today and our understanding is that any remaining outstanding issues will be addressed when the Vizuete team returns. They are to complete their work and install that last doors. We have completed a list of remaining items to be addressed by Vizuete when they return in a few weeks. If there is anything that you would like to add, please feel free to send items my way.

Your team can truly say that you contributed greatly to the Blencor project and should be proud of the work completed. This is truly a state of the art food processing facility and your group played a major role in its development. I hope the best for and your crews and that other jobs are completed with as much ownership as your group has taken.

Baytown Church Recieves Batt Insulation Repair After Hurricane Ike Destruction

Call:

After hurricane Ike reeked havoc on this Baytown church, The Insulation Guru received a call to fix damaged insulation. A remodeling effort was already under way and a solution to repair the insulation was the next priority.

Solution:

The Insulation Guru offered a comprehensive insulation package deal that included insulating the entire structure to Energy Star standards (walls, ceiling, sub-floors, pony walls). The comprehensive solution included upgraded R-15 Owens Corning Pro Pink friction fit batts for the walls, R-30 Owens Corning Pro Pink friction fit batts for the vaulted ceiling (on both sides), and Free Foaming of penetrations (a solution none of the other bidding companies offered) and R-19 for pony walls and sub-floors.

The Insulation Guru’s bid was accepted after customer compared pricing, verbiage of bids and presentation.

Benefits:

After the Church reopened, the A/C did not run constantly as it had in the past and the desired temperature was reached faster. The overall air quality was improved due to better weatherization.
